Washington, DC — Today, Fannie Mae (FNM/NYSE) was recognized as one of the 50 Best Companies for Latinas to Work in the United States at LATINA Style's 12th Annual Top 50 Awards and Diversity Leaders Conference. Companies were evaluated on a variety of issues, including the number of Hispanic women executives employed by the company, board members, Hispanic community outreach, employee benefits, mentorship, and leadership programs. This marks the eighth year in a row that Fannie Mae appears on the list.
Marialane Schultz, Vice President, Mortgage-Backed Securities, joined other Latina leaders to accept the company's award. "I'm delighted to join many distinguished Hispanic business leaders to accept this award. It demonstrates Fannie Mae's commitment to offer all employees access to resources and benefits that enhance and promote a positive workplace," stated Schultz.
Fannie Mae offers benefits and programs for employees to balance their work and life obligations, including dependent care benefits, adoption benefits, assistance for collegiate education, and an Employer Assisted Housing Program. Employees from the company's Hispanic Employee Resource Group continuously play an active role volunteering with bilingual foreclosure prevention efforts across the country, taking advantage of the 10 hours of paid volunteer leave a month that employees can use to give back to a local non profit.
