John Roscoe
John Roscoe is Co-President of Fannie Mae. In this capacity he is responsible for driving enterprise-wide focus on core business and organizational efficiency in order to fulfill Fannie Mae’s mission to provide liquidity and access to the U.S. housing finance system.
In this role, John works closely with COO and acting CEO, Peter Akwaboah, and Co-President, Brandon Hamara, to ensure future and accelerated profitability in a safe and sound manner. Previously, John served as Fannie Mae Executive Vice President, Operations and Public Relations.
Roscoe is a strategic leader who has extensive experience advising and running organizations in the private sector and federal government, with deep expertise in the housing finance arena. Most recently, he was Principal and CEO of North Star Navigators, where he advised senior executives on commercial strategy and regulatory policy. Previously, as Chief of Staff at U.S. Federal Housing (FHFA), he oversaw operations at an agency with over 700 employees. In this position, Roscoe also managed high-level initiatives and engagement with mortgage market companies, industry stakeholders, and federal agencies.
Before joining U.S. Federal Housing (FHFA), Roscoe served at The White House as Special Assistant to the President, leading the executive search and selection process for top financial, housing, and regulatory appointments. Before serving in the Trump Administration, he built winning branding campaigns for Fortune 500 companies.
Roscoe has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with Honors from Ohio State University and has studied at Oxford University in England. He is deeply committed to the Catholic Faith, enjoys family bike rides, and visits relatives and friends back in the Buckeye State on a regular basis.
