Mortgage brokers and correspondents work with sponsoring lenders to originate loans. Mortgage brokers originate loans for sponsoring lenders using Desktop Originator® (DO®), which requires a unique account. Correspondent lenders fund loans and use a variety of Fannie Mae applications, which are listed below.

Getting Started for Mortgage Brokers

Use DO Online Registration for Brokers to register your organization online for DO (if your organization has already registered, do not use this link to re-register). Use Technology Manager to manage users going forward.

Once your registration is accepted by a sponsoring lender, you can begin using Desktop Originator.

    Through Desktop Originator (DO), Desktop Underwriter (DU), and Home Counselor Online, you can order and receive three-in-file merged credit reports online from a number of credit information providers.

Uniform Collateral Data Portal (UCDP)

UCDP is a single portal to electronically submit appraisal reports for conventional mortgages delivered to Fannie Mae.
