Mortgage rates are now expected to end 2025 and 2026 at 6.3 percent and 6.2 percent, respectively, downward revisions of three-tenths for each, according to the March 2025 commentary from the Fannie Mae Economic and Strategic Research (ESR) Group.

Home Price Growth Reaccelerates in Fourth Quarter
Single-family home prices increased 5.8 percent from Q4 2023 to Q4 2024, an acceleration from the previous quarter’s downwardly revised annual growth rate of 5.4 percent, according to the latest reading of the Fannie Mae Home Price Index (FNM-HPI).
