New User

When your Technology Manager Administrator creates you as a new user, one of the emails you will receive is the Fannie Mae New User ID Confirmation Email. The email will contain a link for you to activate the new user ID. The link is active for 30 days.


To activate your new user ID


  1. Click on the link in the email. 



  1. The New User Activation: User ID screen appears. Enter your current user ID and click Next.



  1. The New User Activation: Phone and PIN screen appears. Enter the initial PIN and phone number which the administrator set for you. You can change it later. See the Edit My Profile job aid. Click Next.



  1. The New User Activation: Password and Security Info screen appears. Create a Password per the guidance on the screen and enter a Security Answer for one of the Security Questions. You will need to know the answer to this security question when your password needs to be reset.  You can change both your password and security question at any time. 

  2. Click Submit.

  1. The New User Activation: Confirmation screen appears. Click the Technology Manager link to complete the activation of your user ID.



  1. The Technology Manager Log In screen appears. Enter your user ID and the password that you set, then click Login.




  1. The Edit My Profile screen appears. Review your profile. See the Edit My Profile job aid for instructions on how to update your profile. Now you are ready to use the Fannie Mae applications granted to you by your administrator.
