Fannie Mae Prices $860.4 Million Multifamily DUS REMIC (FNA 2016-M3) Under Its GeMS Program

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Fannie Mae (FNMA/OTC) priced its third Multifamily DUS® REMIC in 2016 totaling $860.4 million under its Fannie Mae Guaranteed Multifamily Structures (Fannie Mae GeMS) program on March 8, 2016.

“We have rallied over the past few weeks, but spreads for DUS MBS are still very attractive on a historical basis,” said Josh Seiff Fannie Mae’s Vice President of Capital Markets and Trading. “We are very pleased with the broad interest in the M3 deal – we had more than 30 accounts involved, including a handful of accounts new to the program. Lower spread volatility and consistent high credit quality are strong enticements for new investors in this market.”

All classes of FNA 2016-M3 are guaranteed by Fannie Mae with respect to the full and timely payment of interest and principal. The structure details for the multi-tranche offering are in the table below:
