Fannie Mae was honored last fall to contribute a chapter to The Mortgage Professional's Handbook: The New Standard Industry Reference. Publication of the three-volume resource was in February. (Link for more information or to order: http://www.mortgagebanking2020.com)
The handbook’s publishers describe the work as the “first comprehensive multi-volume resource since the meltdown on every aspect of the mortgage business.” They say it’s targeted to anyone “involved in production, secondary marketing, operations, compliance, technology, and finance.”
- Volume I: Industry Overviews and Loan Production
- Volume II: Technology, Operations, Servicing, and Compliance
- Volume III: Capital Markets and Financial Management
All profits go to the ALS Therapy Development Institute of Cambridge, MA, the foremost nonprofit biotechnology organization dedicated to finding a cure for Lou Gehrig's Disease; the ALS Association; The Mortgage Bankers Association's Opens Doors program for families with seriously ill children; and MYHouse, which helps homeless youth.
The publishers say they sold more than 1,200 volumes just during the first four months of availability, raising over $60,000 for the charities.
