Awards & Achievements

We are glad that respected organizations are recognizing the work we are doing to improve our business. Recent awards reflect our achievements and work to continuously improve the housing finance industry.

Our employees work tirelessly to ensure access to affordable financing opportunities for homeowners, homebuyers, and renters – at all times and in all markets. Our teams have been recognized for leadership in workplace diversity, energy efficiency, technology, and more. We are making a difference, thanks to the commitment of our great people.

Here are a few examples:

  • We focus on a diverse workforce as a critical component of our success. “At Fannie Mae, we know diversity and inclusion is not an obligation, it’s an opportunity,” says Tujuanna Williams, vice president and chief diversity and inclusion officer. Today, Fannie Mae is one of the most diverse companies in the financial services industry. Our goal is to continue to have a company where employees can do their best work, be their best selves, and experience continuous growth.
  • We are working smarter, says Gunther Schultz, Fannie Mae’s vice president – securities administration and disclosure operations. “In 2015, we decided to invest in our technological operations to examine the costs and connections between hundreds of applications.” For our customers, improving our technical infrastructure will make it easier and more efficient to do business with us.
  • As the leading provider of financing for multifamily properties in the United States, we want to lead the way in environmentally sustainable, affordable housing. “When property owners and builders reduce the energy and water consumed by homes, it positively impacts millions of lives each day,” says Chrissa Pagitsas, director of Fannie Mae’s Multifamily Green Initiative.
