Benchmark Repo Facility

Fannie Mae uses the Benchmark Repo Facility to lend out its Benchmark Securities®. The Facility is available each business day to the approved Benchmark Securities dealers through a multiple price auction process. Fannie Mae introduced the Benchmark Repo Facility in October 2001 in order to increase the liquidity in the repo market for overnight lending. The facility applies to all new issue Benchmark Notes®, Benchmark Bonds®, Callable Benchmark Notes and one-year Benchmark Bills®.
