Trademarks
You may refer to the following Fannie Mae trademarks in your publications, including your Web site, provided that you affix the proper symbol after the mark, and include a full attribution notice (e.g., "Home Keeper® is a registered trademark of Fannie Mae"). Please refer to the chart below for appropriate symbols and notices. Reproduction of logos and designs, including the House-on-the-Hill logo, and commercial use of any of the trademarks by any third-party is subject to approval by Fannie Mae's Corporate Communications and Legal departments, and may require the execution of a formal trademark license. In the event that you or a third-party wish to use one of the trademarks or logos, please contact ip_coordinator@fanniemae.com.
Fannie Mae's omission of any of its trademarks from this chart shall not be construed as an abandonment or as a waiver of any rights by Fannie Mae.
For ease of reference, Fannie Mae is now using the "TM" symbol to identify both trademarks and service marks. We are replacing the "SM" symbol with the "TM" symbol in our written materials. However, until this change is implemented throughout all of our written material, there may be a period when the "SM" symbol and the "TM" symbol appear interchangeably with respect to the same mark. This change does not affect the use of ® which has been used and continues to be used to identify registered trademarks.

In order to protect rights in the Fannie Mae trademarks, a claim of ownership should be included on all materials where a Fannie Mae trademark is used. The appropriate ownership statement will depend upon the status of the trademark (registered/unregistered), as well as the number of trademarks used.
Where a trademark is registered, include the following statement, listing each Fannie Mae trademark used in the material:
Insert trademark name® is a registered trademark of Fannie Mae.
Example: HomeStyle® is a registered trademark of Fannie Mae.
Where a trademark has not been registered, include the following statement, listing each Fannie Mae trademark used in the material:
Insert trademark name™ is a trademark of Fannie Mae.
Example: eMELF™ is a trademark of Fannie Mae.
In those cases where the materials contain registered and unregistered trademarks, include the following statement, listing each Fannie Mae trademark used in the material:
Insert trademark name® and Insert trademark name™ are trademarks of Fannie Mae.
Example: MySolutionsCenter® and Same great resources. Whole new approach™ are trademarks of Fannie Mae.
