Fannie Mae’s mission is to expand access to homeownership and affordable rental housing, particularly for underserved communities. Through the Community Business Centers, Fannie Mae achieves its mission by partnering with lenders, private sector firms, not-for-profit organizations, and local, state and federal government officials to help solve local housing problems, expand homeownership opportunities for the underserved, and increase the supply of affordable rental and for sale housing.
