The Recruiting Process

Knowing Fannie Mae's recruitment process will be helpful in your job search. Take a few moments to review the following information to get the most from your recruiting experience.

Phase 1: Post Position
Once a position has been approved and the job description is complete, the job is posted on fanniemae.com and other locations for internal and/or external job seekers.

Phase 2: Identify Talent
Our recruiters review resumés, conduct phone screenings, compare your skill set with those of other candidates, and share resumés with hiring managers and other key decision makers. The goal is to find a match between your interests, knowledge, skills, and background and the requirements of the openings that are to be filled.

Phase 3: Assess Talent
If you are among those who are invited to participate in an interview, you most likely will have a discussion with the hiring manager and other individuals with whom you would be working on a daily basis.

Phase 4: Offer Position
If you are determined to be the most appropriate individual for the position, you will be extended an offer, along with other on-boarding and new employee orientation materials.

The job offer is contingent upon your successfully meeting certain criteria, including a background check and drug screening, as well as a credit check where applicable.
